Hydraulic Fracturing

  • Hydraulic Fracturing
  • 1. What is Hydraulic Fracturing
  • Hydraulic fracturing is the fracturing of rock by a pressurized liquid. Some hydraulic fractures form naturally-certain veins or dikes are examples. Common hydraulic fracturing equipments are frac pumpers, fracturing blenders, cementing units, acidizing units, and so on.

  • 2. Relevant Technique
  • Induced hydraulic fracturing or hydrofracturing is a technique in which typically water is mixed with sand and chemicals, and the mixture is injected at high pressure into a wellbore to create small fractures (typically less than 1mm), along which fluids such as gas, petroleum, uranium-bearing solution, and brine water may migrate to the well. Hydraulic pressure is removed from the well, then small grains of proppant (sand or aluminium oxide) hold these fractures open once the rock achieves equilibrium. The technique is very common in wells for shale gas, tight gas, tight oil, and coal seam gas and hard rock wells. This well stimulation is usually conducted once in the life of the well and greatly enhances fluid removal and well productivity, but there has been an increasing trend towards multiple hydraulic fracturing as production declines.

  • Non-Hydraulic Fracturing
  • Non-hydraulic fracturing is a method to stimulate shallow, hard rock oil wells dates back to the 1860s.Now in Hubei petrokh machine manufacturing Co., Ltd., our equipments are all used in hydraulic fracturing

  • Working Process of Fracturing
  • The fracking process occurs after a well has been drilled and steel pipe (casing) has been inserted in the well bore. The casing is perforated within the target zones that contain oil or gas, so that when the fracturing fluid is injected into the well it flows through the perforations into the target zones. Eventually, the target formation will not be able to absorb the fluid as quickly as it is being injected. At this point, the pressure created causes the formation to crack or fracture. Once the fractures have been created, injection ceases and the fracturing fluids begin to flow back to the surface. Materials called proppants (e.g., usually sand or ceramic beads), which were injected as part of the frac fluid mixture, remain in the target formation to hold open the fractures.

  • Fracturing Unit
  • Fracturing unit refers to series of equipments used in gas well explosion, such as pumper, blender, data van, hydration, and so on. Those machines are mounted on trucks, skids or trailers, depending on the fracturing engineering conditions.

Here in Petrokh, we offer various frac equipments for gas/oil engineer, including frac pumper, frcturing blender, etc. Our assortment of hydro fracturing unit is in a high demand in the global market. Please refer to related pages for detail information.
